Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

CryptoBurn Fun is built to need as little of your information as possible. There are no accounts, no passwords, and we never ask for a private key or seed phrase. This policy explains the small amount of data we do handle and why.

On this page

1. What we collect

When you use the submission form, we collect only what you type into it:

That's the entire list. We do not attach your name, email, phone number, or identity to a submission, because we never ask for them.

The Forum and the fundraiser forms work the same way: if you post a question or answer, or start a fundraiser, we collect only what you type — an optional display name and your public text (plus, for a fundraiser, a title, category, funding goal, and wallet address). Everything is reviewed before it appears, and no account, email, or identity is attached.

2. What we don't collect

We will never ask for your private key, seed phrase, or wallet password. A public wallet address is safe to share; a private key or seed phrase is not, and no legitimate service needs it. If anything ever asks you for one while claiming to be us, it is not us.

We do not require accounts, do not run behavioral ad trackers, and do not sell data. We do not have custody of your funds and cannot see, hold, move, or reverse any cryptocurrency you send.

3. How we use what you submit

4. Where your submission is stored

Submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet controlled by the site operator, written through a Google Apps Script. The spreadsheet itself is not public. Only wallets that a human reviewer explicitly marks as approved are ever served to the website. Google acts as our data processor for this storage; their handling is governed by Google's own privacy terms.

5. What becomes public

If your wallet is approved, the following becomes visible to anyone on the site: the wallet address, the alias you chose, and the note you wrote. Approved forum posts and fundraiser listings are likewise public, showing the display name and text you entered. Do not put anything private, sensitive, or personally identifying in these fields, because they are meant to be seen publicly. The timestamp and internal review status are not published.

6. Third-party services

7. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

This website does not set first-party advertising or analytics cookies, and does not use browser storage for tracking. The only browser storage we use is to keep the personal redirect notes you can jot on the homepage: those stay on your own device, are visible only to you, and are never sent to us or anyone else. Essential operation of the page (layout, forms, and scripts) runs in your browser without a consent wall because we do not place non-essential tracking cookies ourselves.

The only third-party network requests a page makes are to the Google Apps Script backend that serves the approved wallet list, so the logging and cookie concerns described above apply to Google alone. Because fonts, icons and the QR-code library are self-hosted, blocking third-party content via browser settings, a content blocker, or a restrictive network no longer degrades any part of this site’s appearance or functionality — it renders identically with third-party requests blocked entirely.

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process voluntary form submissions on the basis of your consent (you choose to submit) and, for site security and abuse prevention, our legitimate interests in operating a safe non-custodial listing service. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or similar U.S. state laws apply: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Categories of information we handle are limited to what you voluntarily type (wallet address, optional alias, optional note) plus standard server/processor logs held by our processors.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data we hold, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we intentionally collect minimal identifying data, fulfilling some requests may require you to identify the exact wallet address you submitted. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law where feasible.

9. Retention and removal

Approved wallets stay listed until they are removed by the operator or at your request. To have a submission removed, contact us (below) from any channel and identify the wallet address. Because blockchains are permanent, we cannot delete or reverse any on-chain transaction; we can only remove the listing from this site.

10. Your choices

Submitting is entirely voluntary. You can choose not to submit, submit without an alias or note, or ask us to remove a listing. Since we hold no account identity data, most privacy risk is about what you choose to type into the public fields. Do not submit personal data you are not willing to display if the wallet is approved.

11. Children

CryptoBurn Fun is not directed to anyone under 18 and involves real cryptocurrency. Do not use the site if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date at the top of this page.

14. Data controller and contact

Complete every bracketed field before going live. GDPR Article 13 requires the controller to be identified and CCPA requires a designated contact. A policy that names neither is not compliant with either.

The data controller for everything on this site is [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME] ([sole trader / trading as / LLC / Ltd / other]), registered in [STATE OR PROVINCE, COUNTRY], with an address at [STREET ADDRESS, CITY, POSTCODE, COUNTRY].

Privacy enquiries: contact@cryptoburnfun.xyz. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

13. Contact

Questions, privacy requests, or a listing removal: email privacy@cryptoburnfun.xyz and include the wallet address concerned. Security reports: see security.txt or email contact@cryptoburnfun.xyz.
